Established in 1988, spreads across an area of 9.37 Sq.km in the Nandyal District of Andhra Pradesh, is home to many birds, Reptiles and Mammals. Rollapadu WLS is especially known for being the home to the critically endangered species, the Great Indian Bustard and Lesser Florican. Rollapadu Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the very few sanctuaries meant for conservation of the highly endangered Great Indian Bustard in India.

The birds include sky rising raptors like harriers, kites, shikra, eagles, falcons, buzzards to Water birds such as spot billed ducks, black storks, Eurasian teals, and a variety of owls, fly catchers etc. Bird watchers can expect to see species such as the Short-toed Snake Eagle, Eurasian sparrow hawk, and a myriad of other fascinating birds. During the migratory season, the sanctuary becomes a vibrant hub of activity with flocks of migratory birds adding to the rich avian diversity.
